Why are Posh Wicks Co. candles different?

Mostly, you'll find candles to be made with paraffin wax, a petroleum derivative & non-renewable resource, and toxic chemicals. We want you to be able to set the mood & enjoy burning candles safely. Our curators must follow the Posh Wicks Co. candle criteria: 100% natural wax, phthalate-free fragrance oils. Additionally, every candle is vegan, free of artificial dyes, parabens, and animal-derived products - so you can breathe easy!

These all-natural candles are not only bound to bring joy to any space, but they ensure longer burn times. In staying true to our core beliefs, we do not use beeswax in our products to stay as vegan as possible. You’ll find most of our candles are made of 100% soy wax, which aids in supporting our American soybean farmers. The surprise gift in your box each month is also chosen carefully to align with our team’s health-centric values.

How can I avoid candle tunneling?

Candle tunneling is when a candle burns down the center, leaving a rim of hard wax that doesn't melt around the edge of the jar.

Candles have a “wax memory.” If you blow it out too soon after lighting it the first time, the candle will continue this burning burning pattern. This can cause the wick to burn incorrectly too.

To avoid candle tunneling, make sure to let the candle wax fully pool to the edge of the jar the first time and every other time you burn. This can take up to 2.5 hours depending on the size of your Posh Wicks Co. candle.

How do I get the longest life out of my candle?

Proper candle care is the key to getting the most out of your candle! Start by trimming your candle wick 1/4” before lighting to ensure a clean and even burn. Then, make sure to let the wax pool melt completely to the edge of the jar every burn. (This can take longer on the first burn.) Keep burn time to 3 to 4 hours to avoid wick popping and large flames. Extinguish your flame with a candle snuffer to minimize soot on the jar and debris in the wax. If you have a candle with a lid, keep it between burns or when stored away to keep the wax free of dust & keep the scent fresh!

Why won't my candle light?

If you have a long reach lighter, hold it over the surface of the candle until enough wax melts to expose the wick. If your candle is still not staying lit, cut away some wax at the top of the candle around the wick. Keep doing this until the wick can support a flame. When it burns, drain the pool of wax around the wick, so that it will not put the flame out.

Posh Wicks Co. will happily send you a replacement candle if your candle will still not light. Please reach out to Poshwicksco@gmail.com and they will assist you!

Can I get a replacement for broken or damaged products?

We've done lots of testing to be able to ship with minimal packaging waste and still see very low breakage rates; however, accidents can happen! Send an email to our support team at Poshwicksco@gmail.com with a picture of the damage and your shipping address. They will help with a replacement!

REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
 
If you’re looking to return or exchange your order for whatever reason, we're here to help! We offer returns or exchanges within 30 days of receiving your order. You can return your product for store credit, a different product, or a refund to the original payment method. Please note the following exceptions to our return and exchange policy:
  • Discounted items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged

  • Returned items must be intact and be returned in original packaging

  • Returned items must have no visible signs of use

Returns are accepted under the following conditions:
We want you to love everything you purchase from us. If for any reason you don’t even if you just change your mind simply  reach out to us for full refund or exchange. The item will need to be returned at your expense and we will provide a refund for the product. Candles that have been lit or melted are not eligible for a refund.

Shipping 

Why is my tracking information not loading?

Don’t stress!
- If you just received your tracking email, it may take a couple days for our carriers to update the information.
- Not all packages get scanned at every location, so there may be lulls in your updates, but we’re confident the box is still moving!

What do I do if my tracking shows delivered but I haven't received my package?

It’s possible that USPS marked your box as delivered a bit too early, and it will still show up in a day or two. If you want to be more sure, please contact your local post office to locate it. If it’s been 4-5 business days or more since the false delivery, please file a claim at File a Claim | USPS. After that, just contact our support team so we can issue you a replacement box!

What do I do if my box has been returned?

If your box has been returned, email Poshwicksco@gmail.com with your name and account email address. Our team will make sure your account & shipping details are correct and issue a replacement
